When your Baumatic dishwasher starts to display an error code, it can seem daunting. The list below outlines what the fault code means and some possible solutions to the problem to get your dishwasher back up and running again.
The list of fault codes below will help you diagnose your fault and indicate the causes, but if you still need a dishwasher repair, please get in touch with South Manchester Domestics.
E1 relates to a no fill problem. The dishwasher has detected that the machine has not reached the minimum water intake within its allotted timeframe.
Possible causes include a kinked fill pipe, not water supply from the mains or a faulty water inlet valve which will need to be replaced.
E2 Baumatic dishwasher error code means that the machine can not drain the water away within the drain time.
Firstly, the machine should be checked for blockages, especially in the filter area. If the machine does not have any blockages in the filter or the drainpipe, the likely cause is a broken drain pump assembly.
E3 means that the dishwasher has realised a fault with the heating components within the machine including the heating element or the thermostats.
This error code usually presents when there is a failure with either the flow-through heating element or with the NTC (temperature sensor). Both parts can be tested by using a multimeter with the right knowledge. Replacing the faulty part should remove the error code.
This error code means that the machine is overfilling with water. The pressure switch has detected that there is too much water in the machine.
This fault can be caused by a range of broken parts, but usually, this is a problem with the water inlet valves. Sometimes the water inlet valves let water in constantly meaning that the machine slowly fills up with water. Replacing the valves will usually fix the E4 error code.
E5 error code on Baumatic dishwashers relates to the control board not being able to successfully end the cycle without the user stepping in.
This fault would usually be traced back to a faulty PCB control board (printed circuit board) as that’s where most of the cycle decisions take place. Sometimes the control board cannot move onto the end of the cycle because of other faults such as the machine is not draining (similar to error code E2).
Baumatic dishwasher E6 error code means that the thermistor has become open circuit.
The only fix for this error code is to replace the faulty thermistor. Most Baumatic dishwashers only have one or two thermistors, so eliminating the faulty part should be quite straightforward. After the thermistor has been replaced, the error code should automatically remove itself.
The E7 fault code, similarly to E6, means that the thermistor has become short circuit.
Tracking down, and replacing the fault short circuit thermistor will clear this error code. Similar to the E6 fix, the fault code should be relieved immediately after the thermistor has been changed.
