Has your Zanussi oven stopped working and is displaying an error code? Below you will find a breakdown of all the possible error codes, the faults that they are highlighting and some possible solutions to repair them.
There is no alarm audible signal, this means that when the timer is set, it counts down to 0 but is not beeping to alert.
This problem points towards the control board and this will need replacing in the oven.
There is a problem with the door not locking, this could be that it is not being closed properly or a door lock problem.
If it is being shut correctly and there is nothing stopping the door from closing inside the oven and the error code still appears then the door lock mechanism will need replacing.
The door is not unlocking when it is supposed to, this could be either the door lock mechanism or a problem with the control thermostat.
Check that the door lock mechanism is working and if not then replace it, if it is working then the control thermostat will need replacing.
This error code means that the self-check is not working.
To fix this you should disconnect the oven from the mains for five minutes and then reconnect and the error should be fixed.
The temperature sensor is no longer working which means the oven can’t determine what temperature it is at due to an open circuit or a short circuit within the sensor.
The temperature sensor will usually need replacing to resolve this problem.
The contacts on the PCB relay are sticking shut.
Replacing the control board will usually repair this error code, as the relays are a part of the printed circuit board itself.
The power board temperature is too high.
With the F6 error code, you should be looking for airflow problems that would cause the cooling system to break down. Other possible causes are thermostat and temperature regulator problems.
The oven has detected that the polarity of the mains supply is incorrect.
This indicates a problem, not with the oven itself, but the power supply to the oven. Try disconnecting the machine, and then reconnecting. If the problem persists, it is likely that the socket has been wired incorrectly.
Power problem to the interface connection.
This problem usually arises when either the connections to the control board has come away or burnt. If the connections to the control board are all good, the control board will usually need to be replaced.
The microprocessor is auto-resetting.
Usually, unplugging or disconnecting the oven from the main, leaving it for 10 minutes and then reconnecting will resolve this issue.
